SUMMERPARK LA CRUSC

Adventure park for the hole family – summer fun

Theme path “Tracking wild animals”

Starting at the “Lee” mountain hut, take the “In the tracks of animals” educational walk which extends through the forest on trail no. 7 to the Le mountain lake (Ladin “Lech dla Le”), which is just 400 metres away.

Along the way, marvel at sculptures of well-know animals like eagles, owls or bears, which have been carved by local artists from larch or pine wood.

  • Stamp-collecting game for children
By asking the supervisory staff of the Santa Croce chairlift or personnel at the Lee mountain hut, children can receive a free stamp-collecting game. Along the themed education trail, kids can collect stamps for their stamp booklet at the various wooden sculptures. After collecting all the stamps, children will receive a small memento gift from the lift personnel at Santa Croce.
  • Treasure hunt for young people
In addition to the stamp-collecting game, there is also an adventurous treasure hunt along the themed educational trail. A prize is available at the end of the treasure hunt.

The path is also appropriate for trollers.

The snow cave

The snow cave is situated under the mountain Cima Diesci (Piza dales Diesc) and you can reach it in about 40 walking minutes from the church of Santa Croce / La Crusc – on the path n 15/B. The excursion is easy and offers a top panorama.

The snow cave is a natural cave that is formed in the spring with the melting of the snow. The cave can also be maintained until the next winter season. It can also happen that, if not much snow falls during the winter, the cave does not form.

It is recommended to continue the hike through the breathtaking Armentara Meadows, which are known for their alpine flowers; then return to the villages of Badia or La Val.

Mini Zoo

In the small petting zoo, near to the SummerPark La Crusc, the children can observe interesting animals, such as donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, pygmy goats. The children will be able to watch feeding the animals.

Playgrounds of mountain huts

In Santa Croce / La Crusc  there are many beautiful, typically Ladin huts. Two of them  have a lot to offer for children.

  • The mountain hut Lee offers interesting entertainment for children, such as a large playground with bouncy castle, giant slide, various swings and animals to observe (mini zoo). New: Mini Disk Golf – nice dwarfs will accompany you through the forest and you should hit all containers!
  • The Nagler hut also offers a nice children’s playground with giant trampoline, sandpit, small carts and swinging figures.
